What you need to Paddle For Hope.

Here's what each team will need to have on the day.

The Gear

You'll need one Stand Up Paddle board and a paddle. Board length is restricted to 12'6'' for safety reasons.

If you need a board you have two options:

1. buy one of our unique limited run Starboard Pink Paddleboards.
2. borrow a Starboard SUP. We have 15 boards available - first come, first served! To secure yours, contact us now.

Entry Fees

The entry fee for each team is in total for the four paddlers in the team. You will receive a Starboard Paddle for Hope shirt, goodie bag and drinks, as well as entry into the prize giving and charity auction.

Enter Online

Enter securely online with WUFOO (by credit card or direct bank payment) before 7 October 2011. All entries will be confirmed by email.

A spectator spectacular

To make the event even more fun and a fantastic spectacle for onlookers and media alike, we want teams to go the extra mile and do the event in fancy dress - pink of course.

Extra Sponsorship

We'd love you to help us fundraise as much money for The New Zealand Breast Cancer Foundation as possible, so please go all out and get as much sponsorship for the races as you can. A ,000 donation is the target, but let's see if we can raise even more – the individuals and teams who raise the most money will win great prizes from our generous sponsors.

How do I raise funds?

Log on to Paddle for Hope at Everyday Hero and create your own team or individual fundraising page – it's really easy. Just follow the instructions on the screen then ask your friends and family to help you fundraise. Just like a school spellathon, each paddler is encouraged to find individual sponsors who each donate $1 per 50m paddled (a total of $12). All sponsor donations can be made online via your own Everyday Hero fundraising page and will be issued with a charitable donation tax receipt.

Why not be a sponsored race team?

Here's a great way to boost the money you raise. For a $300 donation to The New Zealand Breast Cancer Foundation your team can be sponsored by a local business. They can put their signage on your board and get exposure to the media and cheering spectators lining the course.
